Ged Rid

from Hip Jazz by TAB TWO

Again and again you wake me up, in the middle of the night; don't know how I'll ever find some sleep; I toss and turn and press a pillow on my head; but the sound is getting through to me; every beat on your drum feels like a bomb in my brain; I'd love to throw 'em right back to your door; but instead I dial your number and again and again and again I ring your bell; but tonight it's even louder than all the nights before. Get rid, get rid, get rid, get rid of your little drum kit.

I better try to think big and I think I try to cool down as I'm searching for distraction and some patience; but I can't relax my muscles' cos I'm blinded by sweat; I start to understand the wars between the nations; so you don't hear what I'm saying, stop playing, start praying; I'm running out of the place I can't stand it no more; 'coz every beat on your drum is like a kick in my face; and all the neighbours are watching here outside of your door; Get rid, get rid, get rid, get rid of your little drum kit.

Alright my friend, come on, enough is enough; we come to see you, eye to eye, will you still be tough? But as we enter the place, there's no one home; there's just a tiny little drumset, all alone; but still there's noise, there's a heavy boom, boom; we realize it's coming out of your sleeping room and as we turn on the light it's the end of the fight; 'coz it's the end of the night and we all sing: Get rid, get rid, get rid, get rid of your little drum kit.
